History of Honey Hut

In 1974, Frank and Marianne Page embarked on their entrepreneurial journey by establishing Honey Hut. Frank, a Cleveland firefighter, stumbled upon an opportunity one January day while driving home.
He noticed a “For Sale by Owner” sign adorning the window of Bruno’s Shoe Repair in the Old Brooklyn neighborhood of Cleveland. Seizing the moment, Frank shared his vision with his wife, Marianne, declaring his intent to purchase the property and transform it into an ice cream shop.
Now, after five decades of dedication, Honey Hut has flourished, gracing Northeast Ohio with multiple scoop shops. We take immense pride in the fact that our ice cream was crowned as the top choice in Northeast Ohio during the esteemed Cleveland Plain Dealer Ice Cream Playoffs. Additionally, we cherish the memory of a United States President visiting our Cleveland store and indulging in a delectable double scoop cone of Chocolate Chocolate Chip.
At Honey Hut, we hold a fervent passion for utilizing fresh fruits and fostering partnerships with local Cleveland dairies. This commitment to quality and community lies at the core of our identity.
